Brian Davidson – CEO Brian Davidson
CEO

Brian has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. Trained as an Electrical Engineer, Brian rose to Managing Director of East Midlands Electricity before establishing his own successful group of construction oriented companies. Geothermal International has rapidly grown from an addition to the portfolio to become the largest part of the group.
 
Mervyn Street – Quality and Health & Safety ManagerMervyn Street
Quality and Health & Safety Manager

Having spent 35 years in Engineering Mervyn joined the company in 2003. During the early years his duties spread over Operations and Installations. Currently he is responsible for all external ground loop installations.
     
Chris Barton – Personal Assistant to Brian DavidsonChris Barton
Personal Assistant to Brian Davidson

Chris has been with the company since it started, working for Brian Davidson as his PA, which initially involved carrying out most administrative functions. She has worked with Brian for approximately 15 years at East Midlands Electricity and Speymill before joining Geothermal. Chris is a fully qualified professional secretary having worked at “Board Level” for over 20 years.
 
Tony Cooper - BuyerTony Cooper
Buyer

Tony joined the company in January 2007 as a buyer responsible for all group purchases. Over 30 years experience in purchasing, logistics and inventory control both in the UK, Europe and former Soviet bloc. Previous experience in construction, agricultural equipment and the automotive industry.
     
Chris Barton – Personal Assistant to Brian DavidsonChris Davidson
Technical Director

Chris graduated from Imperial College, London in Theoretical Physics before embarking on a career with Ford Motor Company in Marketing and Systems roles. Now an IGSHPA Certified Geoexchange Designer, Chris has established a reputation as the leading geoexchange designer, trainer and speaker in the UK. His design team has undertaken designs for systems over 10MW and is responsible for many Mega Watts of installed projects.
 
Patrick Sherriff – Sales & Marketing DirectorPatrick Sherriff
Sales & Marketing Director

Patrick has over 15 years marketing experience having worked at a senior level for companies such as News International and Abbey National. Patrick joined Geothermal International as a Board Director and has been with the company for 2 years. He is responsible for heading up the residential sales and installer network division of the company, as well as having responsibility for the marketing function for the group.
     
Chris Barton – Personal Assistant to Brian DavidsonKarl Drage
Operations Director

Karl graduated with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, and a business diploma from Henley Management School. He has considerable experience in manufacturing and operations processes at a senior level with Unilever PLC and with his own company. Since joining Geothermal International, Karl has taken responsibility for all of the Company’s operations and his team continue to refine, develop and strengthen the activities of the company. He is Chairman of the Ground Source Heat Pump Association.
 
Hazel Davidson – Finance ManagerHazel Davidson
Finance Manager

Joined the company in September 2003 as Financial Controller, responsible for all accounting functions and accounting staff. Thirty years previous experience in similar positions within both construction and retail sectors. Position immediately prior to joining Geothermal - 17 years in the same company within the Automotive Retail sector, latterly responsible for £240M turnover and 23 staff.
     

Andrew Corner – Customer Services DirectorAndrew Corner
Customer Services Director

Andrew has over 30 years experience in engineering having started his career in the automotive industry. He was one of the original team of Geothermal International and has experienced the tremendous growth of this technology in the UK.

 
Suzanne Raybould – Trainee Management Accountant Suzanne Raybould
Trainee Management Accountant

Suzanne joined the Accounts Department of Geothermal International Limited in January 2005 and has recently taken on a new role as Trainee Management Accountant.
     
Alastair Hotchkiss – Technical Sales ManagerAlastair Hotchkiss
Technical Sales Manager

Alastair joined Geothermal International in October 2006 as Technical Sales Manager, having worked in IT Project Management for nearly 10 years. Having studied mathematics and engineering at Exeter, Alastair worked initially for Snap On Tools for 2 years in automotive diagnostics before getting diverted into IT, and so is now enjoying the return to his practical engineering roots.
 
Kelly Kaur – Telephonist / Receptionist

Director of International Business

Giuliana was born in Tricarico (Matera) Italy, in 1977 and is married. She joined Geothermal International in February 2004. Doctor in Economics with Politics, Law and Business Studies from Bari University (Italy) and Coventry University (UK). First with honours. Background in Finance, Accounts, Sales and Exports.
     
Stephanie Lindsay – Sales CoordinatorStephanie Lindsay
Sales Coordinator

Steph joined the company in November 2003 after 22 years in the Customer Services Industry. She works in the residential team coordinating enquiries and providing customer care.
 
Kelly Kaur – Telephonist / Receptionist Kelly Kaur
Telephonist / Receptionist

Kelly joined Geothermal International in July 2006 as a Telephonist/Receptionist working part time. Her role also includes some office administration duties.
     
Alan Hobday – Company SecretaryAlan Hobday
Company Secretary

Alan is a Chartered Accountant and has been with the Company since the beginning in 2001.
 
David Brooks - Assistant Project EngineerDavid Brooks
Assistant Project Engineer

David graduated with an MSc in Renewable Energy and the Environment from Reading University in 2004. He previously worked as a teacher of English as a foreign language in Japan and Spain.
     
Nigel Peabody – Technical AdvisorNigel Peabody
Technical Advisor

Nigel joined Geothermal International in January 2006. He is an estimator for ground source heat pump systems and has a BA (Hons).
 
Alan Wells – Assistant EngineerAlan Wells
Assistant Engineer

Alan joined Geothermal International in November 2006 as a recent graduate from Staffordshire University after studying for his degree in mechanical systems design. He works in the technical team designing the ground loops and surrounding systems for both commercial and residential projects.
     
Gareth O'NeilGareth O'Neill
Hydrogeologist

Gareth joined Geothermal International in March 2009 having recently completed an MSc in Hydrogeology at the University of Birmingham. Prior to his postgraduate studies Gareth was employed for 5 years as an engineering geologist by Johnson, Poole and Bloomer in Glasgow, carrying out geotechnical and contaminated land investigations.
 
Andy Tate – Project Manager, ScotlandAndy Tate
Project Manager, Scotland

A fully qualified Marine Engineer with over 23 years experience onboard nuclear submarines. Andy is registered with the Engineering Council as an Incorporate Engineer and an associate member of the Institute of Marine Engineers Science and Technology.
     
James Cooper – Commercial DirectorJames Cooper
Commercial Director

James is a chartered mechanical engineer with successful background in project and production management at Crown Cork and Seal. More recently he spent 6 years in the strategy and marketing departments at Orange UK and was responsible for the design, business case and delivery to market of several new high profile customer propositions.
 
Roger Macklin – Assistant Operations DirectorRoger Macklin
Assistant Operations Director

Roger has a Masters in General Engineering and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. He has 8 years experience of managing technically complex construction projects including test facilities for Ground Source Heat Pumps and project manages the larger Commercial Projects for Geothermal International.
     
James Lofthouse – EngineerJames Lofthouse
Engineer

James joined the company in February 2008 as Assistant Engineer, and is now an Engineer. Duties for geothermal include ground loop and plant room design. Responsible for all Scotland designs. Studied HNC Mechanical Engineering at Jewel and Esk Valley College, Edinburgh and graduated in 2000. He studied Aeronautical Engineering at University of Glasgow Graduating in 2005. Previous employment as motor mechanic, world rally service engineer, Industrial plant technician.
 
Tony Amis - Technical Sales ManagerTony Amis

The majority of Tony's 20 years working in the construction industry has been managing large foundation projects in the UK, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Over the last 5 years Tony has become increasingly interested in the opportunities associated with ground sourced heat pumps, initially dedicated to raising the profile of geothermal opportunities, largely through the use of energy piles and at the same time, studying the effects that heating and cooling had on piled foundations. Now a key player within the Geothermal International organisation he is involved with raising the profile of all ground sourced heating and cooling systems both in the UK and internationally.
     
Michael Crane - Director of Drilling OperationsMichael Crane
Director of Drilling Operations

A Chartered Geologist with over 25 years experience in geotechnical consultancy and contracting services, Michael joined Geothermal International Limited in October 2007 as Director of Drilling Operations with the responsibility of heading a department specializing in geology, hydrogeology and the management of our expanding in house drilling fleet and external contractors.

Jim joined the company in Sept 2008 as Director for Scotland. With his experience in the drilling industry over the last 30 years Jim is able to give clients good advice to help develop a cost effective geothermal solution to their development plans.
     
Alessandro Di Domenico - Estimator and Technical SupportAlessandro Di Domenico
Estimator and Technical Support

Alessandro graduated from Parthenope University, Naples, Italy in 2005 with a Bsc (hons) degree in Nautical Sciences. He joined Geothermal International in 2007 as Estimator for both commercial and residential projects. Since 2008, he also provides technical support to the International Department.
 
Tracey Price - Purchase Ledger and Sub-Contractor Ledger Tracey Price
Purchase Ledger & Sub-Contractor Ledger

Tracey joined Geothermal International in March 2009 as an Accounts Assistant having previously been in the Construction Industry Sector for 5 years. Tracey is responsible for the Purchase Ledger and Sub-Contractor Ledger function within the accounts department.
