Geothermal International North America names new CEO
Coventry, United Kingdom: Geothermal International North America (GI – North America) a subsidiary of Geothermal International LTD (GIL), has named Tony Cooper as Chief Executive Officer effective 3 May 2010. GI North America will be headquartered in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area.
Mr. Cooper comes to Geothermal International after 16 years with WaterFurnace International Inc., a division of WaterFurnace Renewable Energy, Inc. Mr. Cooper served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and more recently as President of WaterFurnace's Global division. Mr. Cooper was the Business Development Director for GIL's International product and sales group prior to the promotion to GI – North America.
Tony Cooper is well known within the GSHP industry. He previously served on the board of directors for the Geothermal Heat Pump Consortium, and is a certified IGSHPA trainer. He has spent numerous years in lobby efforts for the industry and has served on many state and federal level committees supporting the industry and the environment.
