Chancellor of the Exchequer confirmed the Governments introduction of the Renewable Heat Incentive

The Chancellor of the Exchequer confirmed the Governments introduction of the Renewable Heat Incentive with a £860m commitment over the next 4 years. The Scheme is planned to be introduced in 2011, and is designed to ensure the UK meets its target of 12% of  heat coming from renewable sources by 2020. The £ 860m funding will benefit households, land lords, businesses and the public sector  investing in renewable heat technologies by significantly reducing costs and carbon emissions.
